ATOM CNC Knife Cutting
Advanced Dual-Tool CNC Cutting Technology
Dual-tool CNC cutting and milling for flexible, semi-rigid and composite materials, combining multiple processes within one automated production workflow.
Texon Oz supplies the ATOM Flashcut Twins CNC Cutting System across Australia and New Zealand. This digital knife cutting and milling platform is designed for manufacturers requiring precision, versatility and productivity from one automated system.

Flashcut Twins combines knife cutting, milling, creasing, marking and punching in one production cycle. Its modular dual-tool architecture reduces material handling and lets manufacturers process flexible, semi-rigid and composite materials without moving the workpiece between machines.
The modular cutting head uses two independent vertical axes so compatible tools can operate sequentially on the same shape. Tool settings can be stored and reused, helping speed changeovers while maintaining repeatable cutting quality.
The optional milling spindle lets the machine combine knife cutting with routing of rigid and semi-rigid materials. The supplied brochure lists 1 kW and 2.4 kW high-speed router options for EMH configurations, while the supplied write-up describes a 5 kW liquid-cooled EMHD cutter for suitable materials up to 130 mm thick.
A sectorised vacuum table holds lightweight, flexible and multi-layer materials securely during processing. Inverter-controlled vacuum systems maintain strong suction while helping reduce energy use; the supplied write-up cites reductions of up to 30% compared with traditional systems.

Cutting and routing
Combines a cutting knife with a high-speed routing spindle for materials up to 50 mm thick. Router options listed in the brochure are 1 kW and 2.4 kW.

Heavy-duty processing
The supplied write-up describes a 5 kW liquid-cooled cutter and configurable spindles for suitable materials up to 130 mm thick.
Adjustable vacuum sectors focus holding force where it is required.
Overhead LED projectors help visualise shapes on irregular materials and colours.
A digital camera with LED illumination recognises printed reference points across a wide reading area.
Automatic nesting reduces placement time and improves material yield.
Options include in-line and off-line loading, unloading tables, unwinders and spreaders for multilayer textiles.
Optional high-resolution printing supports coding, marking and part identification.
Static tables suit sheet work, while belt-feed configurations support continuous and roll-material workflows.
The brochure lists a patented safety scanner as standard on selected models for operator protection during supported machine movements.

Compact format
Designed for smaller production environments, with a 1550 × 1550 mm working area.

Versatile format
A versatile configuration for a broad range of industrial applications, with a 3050 × 1550 mm working area.

Large sheets
Designed for larger sheet materials, with a 3050 × 2050 mm working area.
The supplied brochure also lists the 3026 and B, B2 and B3 table layouts. The table below shows S-model data; machine dimensions and weights vary with table, projection and gantry configuration.
| Model | Working area | Maximum absorption | S-model size without projector | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Twins 1515 | 1550 × 1550 mm | 13.46 kW / - | 2500 × 4120 × 1220 mm | 1290 kg |
| Twins 3015 | 3050 × 1550 mm | 13.46 / 23.86 kW | 4000 × 4120 × 1220 mm | 1790 kg |
| Twins 3020 | 3050 × 2050 mm | 13.46 / 23.86 kW | 4000 × 4620 × 1220 mm | 2090 kg |
| Twins 3026 | 3050 × 2600 mm | - / 23.86 kW | 4540 × 5144 × 1220 mm | 2490 kg |
